Not a flattering backside
I was so excited when these arrived. The J Brand fit is always reliable for me. They fit as expected through the legs and waist, but I was utterly shocked at how they fit my backside. I didn't look closely enough at the product shots, but the fabric pulled terribly on my bum and under bum. Paired with the waxy fabric, we're talking stuffed sausage in a trash bag look that was super unflattering. If it doesn't look great on that gorgeous model, you know that you've got a long shot. The benefits here are that this is a great leather substitute and would look totally hot paired with a longer top that covers your backside. But, for the price, I ended up returning these bad boys. Too bad, because the concept is great.

But runs small, at least for me, always a 24 in JBrand. Ordering a size up would have been nice for me, but I'll have to keep it and maybe loose some weight.

Sexy jeans but high maintenance
The cut is beautiful and very sexy. The hems fit perfectly for me (5'4) and the material is pretty stretchable and it gives the ultimate skinny look all the way to ankles. I have worn this for 2 months now and it doesn't stretch out at all. The only thing is the waxed coating does not last long and dry cleaning allowed only to maintain the shiny look. I don't think the pair can last more than 1 year or 2 especially after the coating came off.

I can see how after they've been cleaned, you may lose the leather like effect. At first glance, they're so spectacular, it's better than leather. They are so flattering, and a fraction of the cost of leather.

Comfy waxed jeans
I purchased these jeans more than three months ago. I just love them. I am a size 26 in most jeans but did try this in our local department store and found them quite snug so I went up to a size 27. They look great as I did not want that plastered on look. It makes me look super thin. The downside of sizing up is that the back gaps and they ride down a little. Will probably just get the tailor to put two darts at the waist band to fix the problem. Therefore I believe that a size 26 probably does fit true to size. Also, as previous reviewers have mentioned, the jeans actually do not look like the photo. Mine are definately less shiny which I personally love. The ones I tried in store are also not as shiny as pictured.

These jeans really do not look anything like the picture. They are not shiny and definitely do not have the appeal of leather. The fit is great but really disapointed with the look of these jeans and with the picture (which is not accurate) or the description.

J Brand Delivers Again
J Brand never disappoints me. I love these jeans! They don't look as leather-esque as the photo would suggest but they're excellent nonetheless. I already own this pair of jeans in green and the only setback is the waxed coating is high maintainence. I've found that you can't exactly machine wash these as you would any other jeans or the waxing will deteriorate - and for that they lose a star. dry clean only to maintain this look...

Luxe feel and perfect fit. Good length for petite frames, I am 5.4 and the hem fits perfect. True to size, lovely leather effect. (with some shine) Only thing I miss is front pockets.

Great Black Jean With A little Edge
I'm definitely a fan of J Brand Jeans. I'm tall and have slender but athletic legs and these jeans fit me very well.... really comfortable and a little different from ordinary black jeans.
