My heart literally skipped a beat as I lifted the boots out of the box. The color and distressing is just so awesome, it's a great neutral that goes with a lot. I'm also extremely thrilled & relieved that it fits TTS (no costly returns) . It was a tad difficult to pull on due to the tight opening at the ankle but once on, it should warm and mold to your feet for a comfortable fit. The shaft of the boot is unlined, making it very pliable and soft in creating the slouchy effect that this boot is known for. I'm so pleased with this style am now thinking of getting it in another color.

This colour is so beautiful and original. Love them so much. I am normally a 7, which is what I ordered in theses, and they are a little tight in the toes (I do NOT have wide feet) So I would recommend sizing up if you do. I'm hoping they stretch out as I wear them more.

I ordered these on Wednesday, from Canada. They arrived on Friday. When I took them out of the box the beautiful fragrance of leather filled the room and they were more beautiful than in the photo, so I was crossing my fingers that I would be able to get them on my feet. I tend to wear 9-9.5, and ordered 9.5. My feet slid into them like butter, and I wore them all day. No boot has ever been so comfortable, and I wear a lot of boots. The next day I tried adding a hand-knit sock over my tights. The fit is snugger, but still fine. These boots cost money, but they are great quality and very beautiful. I love them. The colour is an unusual neutral that goes with almost anything.

I ordered these boots on Thursday evening and received them yesterday (in Canada)! As soon as I took them out of the box I was madly in love with them. 8.5 is my true size, that's what I ordered, and they are perfect. I wouldn't want them any smaller (or bigger). Also, I am short (5'3") with large calves (16"), and they just fit my calves. I could barely tuck anything in, but after wearing them around the house for just an hour, I could already feel them stretching out. I also have wider feet, so they were a little difficult to get on the first time, and one felt pretty tight across the foot, but I put them in front of the heating vent for a few minutes and then put them on and wore them around the house again, and there was already a world of difference. I can't wait to break these in, the quality is amazing, the colour is beautiful, and I hope to have them for years to come! Also, I have never spent this much $ on ANY piece of clothing or footwear EVER, and I am so glad I got these.

True about the whitish patina that wipes off. These boots are amazing and unique , but no way these are a 9.5 Way too small. I have three other pairs of booths recently purchased, so my size is accurate. Sending them back sadly. I know, there will be other boots! :-)

I had this item bookmarked for weeks before I decided to purchase. Being a girl who typically never purchases anything at full price, it was a big decision for me to buy. But there are no regrets! The color of this boot is so unique and versatile. I wear a 6.5 in sandals and a 7 in boots and tennis shoes (socks), with a medium/wide width. Purchased this in a 7 and it fits perfectly with thinner socks. I don't think I'll be able to wear chunky knit socks with these.

I bought these boots a couple of days ago. Yes, it only took 3 days for shopbop to ship them from USA to Sweden, amazing! Anyway, these boots are so stylish. When they arrived, the oils from the leather had "bloomed" on the surface of the leather (whitish) and Frye recommends you to just wipe it away with a clean cloth. I did that and the "slate" color of the boot became more visible, very beautiful. I ordered half a size bigger to be sure that they fit, and will put in an extra sole. They are a tiny bit too big now, I think that they really are true to size as claimed. I will wear Veronica slouch with dresses, skirts, tight blue jeans etc....endless possibilites!

I bought these beautiful Frye Boots in the "Slate" color from Shopbop a few years ago. I recall that they sold out almost immediately and the color was not re-stocked. My friends and other admirers of the slate color were frustrated that they couldn't find this color anywhere. The color is very attractive and goes with any other color. I just called a friend last night who also loves to shop "Shopbop" and told her that she would be very happy to see that Shopbop has the slate color back in stock. I can not stress enough how much others love this color. I have these boots in other colors, but these always get the attention.
