Frye Vera Short Boots

Description

A cool, feminine Frye boot with a chunky heel, rendered in a beautifully distressed, mellow leather and accented with oxidized hardware. A subtle ombré effect details the rounded toe and heel, while buckled straps fasten across the ankle and along the top line. Stacked heel and rubber sole.

Leather: Cowhide.
Made in Mexico.

Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England. Frye boots have traveled with soldiers from America's Civil War through World War II, and in the 1960s the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, was reintroduced and soon rose to high demand. Today, Frye's boots still hold a place in American culture.

More than happy
This is my third Frye boots and I am extremely happy with this pair. I ordered 7.5 size and they fit perfectly, altthough I have Frye Veronica Short in size 8 and they also fits OK. Color is exactly as pictured and totally to my taste. Leather is softer than in Frye Campus, but it added slouch look that I like. Shipping was amazingly fast and I got my purchase in 4 days. Cost of boots is very reasonable comparing to other internet sites selling Frye boots. Thank you Shopbop Team, will definetely order staff from your site again!

More of a destroyed look than depicted
This one is going back. It has much more distressing and a destroyed look (like its been in a war) than the photo indicates. I anticipated a slightly worn-in look but it looked more than slight. A disappointment since I have big feet and these boots fit well. Somebody else might really like that look, though.

Chunky boot
My girlfriend has these and I love them on her, but they're a tad too chunky for me. Granted, the sizing was way off- I'm normally a 7-7.5 and I could have worn a 6.5 in these.

Wonderful buy!
The color is a beautiful distressed taupe that can go with anything. I usually wear a size 7 but I had to get 6.5 for this one. My heel slips just a bit but the website says that this is normal for the first few wears. Otherwise, it is very comfortable. I The buckles in the shaft allows you to adjust it so it can go with your leggings or skinny jeans.I've worn it a couple times and can't wait until it starts getting colder in Southern CA.
