Cute, but too long for anyone shorter...
I liked these and the fit was great, however, I am 5'4", size 26 (size 2) and these were too long. If you wanted them to look like the style in the photos, you'd need to take to a tailor and have them reconstructed to re-make the slit to the appropriate length. Otherwise, if around 5'4", the slit will start on the top of the foot and jeans will go to just above the ground.

Awesome jeans
These j brands are the most flattering pair of jeans I own. The placement of the front slits is perfect and gives the jeans a really edgy look. They look awesome with a pair of stiletto pumps. I am 5"9 and a size 25 in j brands and the 25 in this style was perfect. Highly recommended.

I do love them and i usually buy a 26 in j brand however these in the 26 felt too tight, i returned them and am going to try in the 27, hopefully they will work.

Really like these. Good stretch. A nice twist to a standard black coated pant is the slit. The only downside is the flaps curling in a little but not a big deal.

Best J Brand Jean Ever!
I've reviewed a lot of J Brand denim/pants on this site, but this pair truly takes the cake. They are, no question, the BEST J Brands I've ever worn. I bought them at a boutique before they were available on Shopbop and though they feature the "waxed" look that was so popular last Fall, there are other newer details that make these a standout. The seam down the front of the pant and the split at the ankle give these pants an extra kick of style. And I don't know if it's only the pair I got or if it's standard, but this pair actually looks less waxy, more leather-esque. When I wore them, three different women asked me where I got my "leather" pants. I bought this style in the shorts version last Fall and found I had to size-up to a 30 from my normal 28. However, I went with my usual 28 with these and they fit like a glove!

Sexy and Chic
A great addition to a black jeans wardrobe. These are already sold out in most sizes at stores in Toronto. I grabbed them as soon as I saw them on shopbop! They look quite small for their size, but unlike the other JBrand coated jeans, which run a size small, these are super stretchy. The slit is very chic and sexy. However, I am 5'7", with long legs. The slit falls in a perfect spot on me. I am not sure how well these would work on someone petite. You might need to re-create the slit, to shorten them. These are a bit dressier than your average black jean, but could be day or night with the right top. Shoes will be the biggest challenge. My high heeled pumps look great. I now need to find a bootie that works right with the slit. Overall stunning and very comfortable jeans.
