Designer
If Jen Kao's designs hint at the artistic, it is not an accident. The LA-born, Kansas-raised designer moved to New York in 1999 to study art at NYU, and her interest in three-dimensional design led her to experiment with textiles. After receiving a graduate degree from Parsons, Kao debuted her collection of accessible yet sexy pieces in 2008. Says the designer, "There are intelligent ways to convey sexuality. A woman can emphasize her assets, internal and external, without revealing the obvious."
