I'd been totally in love with this dress for months, but wanted to wait and see if it went on sale before I took the plunge. Needless to say it never did, and I was about to order it when I happened to find it in a boutique in town. All I can say is I'm SO glad I tried it on before I bought it and had to deal with returning it, because it looked absolutely awful on me. I'm about 5'4" and 95lbs, and the XS was way too big. I even have a long torso and the waist came down all the way to my hips. It was just very unflattering; I wish it had worked on me because it's a lovely dress, but I'm too short/petite to make it work. I ended up buying the top version of this instead, and am definitely happy with that purchase.

I've been looking for a white broderie anglaise dress like this for ages - short, cinched at the waist, boat-necked and with an interesting lace pattern This is a unique piece that stands out from the millions of other white lace/crochet dresses that emerge every summer. The material is decent and comfortable and it's well made enough.
I found it fit true to size. I bought an S based on previous reviews and it was too big just about everywhere. I normally wear an XS, which is what I should've gotten - I'm 5'1, 110lbs, and the S hit me just above the knee. I took it to the tailor to be taken in at the shoulders and sides and had it hemmed to hit around mid-thigh, and it was worth the money because now it is perfect :)

Perfection
I bought this dress on a whim and have never been so pleasantly surprised in my life. This may be the perfect summer dress. Aside from all of the compliments I get when I wear this dress, it also is very comfortable and I found it true to size. I'm quite tall (6') so it's a little short on me but people seem to forgive me of this factor since it's a lace dress. The material is light and airy making it breathable despite the longer sleeves. I wear an thin silk slip underneath since the top portion of the dress has no lining (the skirt however does).
I love this dress so much I bought a second because I was scared I would wear out the first one. Sadly, I'll probably buy a third because when I really like something, I REALLY like something.

Elegant and nice fit
I am Asian 5.5 ft tall averge weight 120lb and i picked the navy color size S. The dress fits perfectly well and the navy blue is elegant at work or dinner out with friends. However the fabric is not stretchable and the lace pattern makes it more delicate. Have to be careful when putting it off. I am thinking of getting the white color as well.

The xs was sold out in white so I ordered the small. It was a little large on me so it was a little too Big Love-ish... might try the new color in xs. Nice idea & embroidery.

Lovely Dress
I rely on Shopbop to stock beautiful and well made clothing since I live in a remote area where buyers have no eye for fashion. Out of all that I have purchased from Shopbop....this is my favorite piece!!! The two times i've worn it (once in the BVI's and once locally) people have gushed with compliments. I am 34-26-34 and 5'3". The small fits perfectly. I should buy another one.
