In 1978, Brian Smith left Australia for New York, armed with a few pairs of UGG
boots and a positive attitude. After having no luck selling his sheepskin shoes, he went west to do some surfing. There, he made his first stateside sale, and from the Classic Tall to the Coquette to the essential cleaner, UGG Australia has been a favorite ever since.
