Stylish and modern
I received this watch as a gift and I couldn't be happier. The face is large but not as big as my other Michael Kors watches. The band does look like plastic tortoise shell but like tortoise shell sunglasses, I think it looks great and so do all of the people who compliment me on it. It's light, comfortable on and the band was tighter then the bands on my metal MK bands, only one link needed to be taken out to fit properly. A great alternative to my metal and leather watches!!!

Very disappointed
I seem to be in the minority regarding my view of this item. I think it's the cheapest, nastiest looking watch and I wouldn't wear it or gift it. If it was $50 maybe I'd expect it, but not for this price.
From the cheap plastic used for the faux tortoise shell band to the overly thick watch it reminds me of those cheap $10 watches you find in Asian back alleys, really. How a designer could put their name to it amazes me.
I missed out on the return time so it sits in a drawer until I decide if I can possibly donate it to a homeless person. I'm very disappointed.
I purchased the Nixon shutter watch with tortoise shell as gift several months ago and it was superb quality, looked great and was only $60.
Shopbop please photograph the watches from the side so we can see how thick they are, it would help a lot.

Great Value and Versatility!
I was waffling between purchasing this and the pricier NIXON or a Michelle and decided to check this one out first. What also attracted me to the watch was the fact that you can wear it with both silver and gold jewelry unlike just about every other watch of this type which tend to be either one or the other. I have a small wrist and it doesn't overwhelm my look at all and is perfectly "oversized" even for someone with a petite frame. I do have to have 2-3 links taken out at the jeweler but I think that's typical for these types of watches. A great investment!

Been wanting to get this watch since forever, but it was out of stock! thank you shopbop for restocking it! the watch is just brilliant in terms of the size and colour. so outstanding! however, the strap is a little too big for my wrist, but it is easily fixed :)
