more smoothing than firming
I returned this just because I wanted a firming slip for this price. This slip does a good job "smoothing" your shape but not much firming to me.

Runs large
Too big. I ordered according to teh size guidelines and now I can use it as a slip but certainly not as a figure shaper. But the quality is good and it looks good on (not like an old lady's garment) so I'm giving it a 4.

Best Slip Ever
I ordered this originally because I wanted a slip (to keep fitted sheath dresses from riding up/moving around). I wasn't looking for shapewear but figured it couldn't hurt. I was so pleasantly surprised when I got this at home - its the best slip ever. Okay, first you should know that it is extremely tight - and meant to be that way - but still very breathable and comfortable. And it is seriously effective as far as shapewear goes - this is actually the first time I've worn a shapewear garment and liked it. Unlike other shapewear, it is actually sexy; I feel pretty in it, not dowdy. And all my dresses and skirts - both fitted and loose - hang and flow better over my body when I wear it. I'm going to buy it in the nude color, too! FYI: I am a size 6, 32D bust, 126 lbs., 5'3", hourglass shape. I took a medium and it fit well.

Smooth as Silk
I purchased this slip to go under my One Mullet dress and it worked out perfectly, The dress literally glides over it rendering a lovely silhouette. Furthermore, it is more comfortable than the majority of its kind on the market. I could actually breath and move in it. It can be worn over a bra or by itself since, it does provide some upper body support as well. This is most versatile and can even be worn under a shorter tunic. Again, the Shop Bop C.S. agents were most helpful and because of this, I now have a slip for my wedding dress. Not only that, but they selected the proper size for me so, I didn't have to do any returns.
