Rachel Roy swing skirt - magenta
This skirt is so beautiful, the hem around the waist is exceptional, and the cut makes the skirt full and swingy. BUT, I ordered a size 2, thinking it would fit as the picture did, high on my waist and about just below the knee. Unfortunately, it was enormous, fell to my hips and hit mid-calf - YUCK. Since it was final sale, I took it to my trusted seamstress to have it taken in at the waist and shortened just a bit to hit right at the knee. I haven't picked it up yet but I'm fantasizing about wearing it with my bright orange, patent leather platforms and a cropped sweater... I still love it, I just would have ordered a size down, is the moral.

love the colour and cobalt blue is very now but this skirt is more than midi length on anyone less that 5ft4 i bought in the sale which is reflective of what i think it is worth going to keep it as i love the colour but it is going straight to the dressmaker

Swing skirt
Thought the construction was terrible. The waistline had so much stitching going on to get the pleats in place it made the fit very bulky. Also couldn't figure out what was the front or the back without the pockets. Very disappointing.

Beautiful Color; Not True to Size
As expressed in another review, this skirt runs larger than the sizing guide. In order to fix the problem of the skirt hitting below the waist, I actually sewed in another pleat because I didn't want to return the skirt. At the time, there were no size 0s available. Because of the way the skirt is constructed, you can't tell which of the pleats were in the original and which one I inserted. Now the skirt fits at my natural waist and looks gorgeous. I am very happy with it. The color and fabric are both very nice, and I received many compliments when I wore it - from men and women! I recommend buying one size smaller.

100% Pretty
I love minis so this is the first below-the-knee length skirt I've purchased since, well, my wedding gown, I think. This skirt falls perfectly and when paired with the turquoise top I purchased (which was part of a look in one of Shopbop's recent lookbooks), I feel like a modern Doris Day. This skirt feels "charity luncheon," but it can definitely be shuzed down with a couple of layered tanks and a pair of espadrille wedges or some flat sandals. I thought this skirt was kind of spendy, but now that I see it can be dressed up or down, it was worth it. Get it before it's gone!

Fit is much looser than in the picture
The color is gorgeous, but the fit is off and the material does not feel worth the price. I thought the skirt would sit higher up (along the natural waist) like in the pictures. In reality, the skirt rides a little lower, so I cannot imagine wearing it with a belt without significant slippage and constant tugging. Additionally, the uneven hem along the waistline due to the pleating detail makes the skirt have an "unfinished" look. The silk also seems rather sheer, especially since there is no lining, which was surprising considering the price. While I LOVE the color, I could not justify the purchase for the fit or cost.
