They do zip if...
You can zip the boot up if you unthread the buckle and bring it up to the outside(won't have the woven in look but still cute).
I brought my buckle out and to the top on the bottom strap and zipped up lower part of my boot. I left the top strap as shown above.

these boots do funny things when you put them on. the color (iron) was beautiful and they look super cute out of the box but once you put them on, the troubles begin. the ankle opening is enormous! i mean i had several inches of open space around my ankle/calf. also, the zipper does not close - which i knew from a previous review - but the elastic bands make the zipper area gap funny so you end up with this weird open-closed-open-closed effect and not the straight line pictured. really wanted to like these, going to try the joe's jeans ones instead.

These boots were on my wishlist for a long time. I'm so glad size 8 was available on sale. I got them in Iron, which is a bluish dark grey, which I love love love. Great look with skinny jeans or leggings. Also, these were not too loose as I feared. Surprisingly comfortable considering the 6" heel.

The sparrow color was the perfect taupy grey and the suede was nice, but no ankle support and just about an inch too high for me...but so so cute...just not practical. they went back unfortunately. For being made in china..too too expensive.

Cute and Comfy!
This was my first time buying this brand, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I ordered the taupe color, and they're so cute. Comfortable too, especially considering the heel. Quality is quite good. The only thing is that I didn't realize from the picture that the zipper actually stays unzipped. They feel secure despite that though. I'd definitely buy this brand again, and recommend these boots.

Great Boot, Color Hard to See Online
Great boots...comfortable and edgy look! I purchased the "Sparrow" color choice thinking they were light gray but actually they are a little more on the taupe side. I was a little disappointed that they don't match all of my new gray fall jeans but I liked them so well I decided to keep them. If you are looking for gray, opt for the "Iron Ore" option instead.
