Designer
Based in Italy and designed by Canadian twins Dean and Dan Caten, DSQUARED2 launched as a menswear line in 1994. The brotherly duo ventured into women's wear in 2003 after a fateful encounter with Madonna had them designing outfits for her 2002 Drowned World Tour. The brand has since remained connected to the music industry: Christina Aguilera and Rihanna have walked the DSQUARED2 runway. NOT FOR PETITES
There is no denying the quality of this dress, it is beautifully made. My problem is the fit... I am quite petite but this dress made me look like a sumo wrestler!! The shoulders and top part of this dress was really bulky and wide on me.
I can imagine this dress looking hot on a tall leggy blonde but petites beware.

Aaaa-mazing!
DSquared is indisputably expensive, but the pieces I've purchased from this line are some of my absolute favorites. I was able to buy this dress during the Friends&Family promo which made it a (somewhat) more reasonable price. And if I didn't absolutely love it, it was going back; loved it so it's a keeper. The weight of the material is substantial and its wearability is year-round, in my opinion. The simple camel and white contrasting stripes allow this dress to be paired with any number of shoe styles and colors. This piece looks great on its own as well as part of a layered ensemble. I wore it a couple of days ago; compliments abounded. It's very short (if you wish to drop the length there's a generous underturned hem that a tailor can use to add a couple of inches). I love short dresses, but I definitely choose a demure over a hiked-up hemline. Even so, I'm fine with this length. BUY! WEAR! LOOK GORGEOUS! LOVE!
