Designer

When denim manufacturer Jeff Rudes collaborated with celebrity stylist Susie Crippen, the focus was not only on making jeans, but making the wearer feel simply amazing in them. No back pocket design. No tear holes. No embellishments. J Brand has a modest approach to making jeans, providing a rare combination of class, sophistication, sexiness, and style that we crave. And we'd expect nothing less from a man who's been making jeans since the '70s.

Nice Work Style and Fit
I purchased these in a local discount store yesterday in dark brown (for what I see now was an amazing price) and have just purchased black here. The cut, fit and fabric are great for me for work in my relatively conservative office environment. I am 5'6", 112lbs, usually size 0-2 and these fit me well in my normal size 25. They are not as snug as my J-Brand jeans. They fit like well-fitted work slacks with just enough give/stretch to be comfortable. I think the fit is better than the picture and they don't feel at all workman-like to me (but I am arguably proportionaltey a tad hippy so that may actualy work to my advantage in these). The waist is a little looser than I like, but the slim flare, perfect length (for my height plus 3" heels) and multi-seasonal mid-weight washable "Japanese twill" fabric more than compensate for the waist issue. I would clearly buy these again (I just did) and recommend them.

Really comfortable
I am m 1.67 tall, and 48 Kg. I have that type of structure with hips wide and tall (high waist). I have thin legs and o-shaped. If a pair of normal trousers is fine on the hips they will be wide on the legs to give you an idea. The worse type of trousers for me are leggings. The absolute best trousers shape I found are the J Brand Bette. I have them in wonderama and mystery in size 26. Stella has a slightly different shape but still looks great, and with my shape that's not easy! Size 26 fitted fine (really comfortable) but the size 27 looks better. They are a bit more slouchy in size 27, I wear them slightly lower. The waist is too big but they look very good anyway. I understand why Emjay thinks they are not right for a woman: while the Bette fit perfectly on the curves in Stella there is not too much difference between waist and hips. But they look cool. Considering my difficulty in finding flattering trousers I then invested in a second pair here in London.

Great Trousers!
These pants are fantastic - no saggy butt! The fabric is so sturdy yet soft and washes well. A great find.

Great pants for work
This is my first pair of J. Brand pants, and I read that they tend to run a little large, so I went with a size 27 (I'm normally between a 4-6). They fit great - the rise hits exactly as pictured, and the inseam hits right at the floor with heels on (I'm 5'7). Comfortable and perfect to wear to work. At the price, a must buy - I bought the black and am debating getting the blue as well!

Workman's Pants
I brought these for my mum. They were a little smaller than predicted and looked like workman's pants. Not nice for a woman. The picture is flattering but deceiving, not like this in real life unfortunately.
