Description
Delicate embroidery provides a textured counterpoint to soft silk chiffon, giving this feminine Alberta Ferretti dress a touch of vintage romance. The deep V neckline is edged with scalloped trim and framed by shutter pleats, while the embroidered waist gives way to a dainty rush of pleats along the skirt, which ends with a sheer lace hem. Designer
As the child of a dressmaker, Alberta Ferretti quickly took to sewing, spending hours cutting her own designs in her mother's workshop. That early artistic passion led the designer to open her first boutique at 18, on the ground floor of her home and studio. In 1981, the Alberta Ferretti Collection made its first walk down Milan's runways.
