Beautiful, high quality dress
This dress looks exactly as it does in the picture. It is very high quality and comfortable. I am almost 5'4" and ordered the XS. The dress is pretty short, so I wouldn't recommend it for someone who is tall but wears an XS.

A Real Mini Dress
This is my 2nd Halston Heritage dress. They are both keepers. Great stitching, lovely fabric, and, fabulous jewel tone colours. The former (turquoise, acqua blue slip-strap) for hot summer nights and this cap sleeve aubergine version for summer into fall nights.
Regarding sizing, The 1st purchase being the blue slip-strap in an XS was generous while this dress with cap sleeves and in the aubergine in an XS fits tighter in the shoulders and upper rib cage but it's that tightness that allows the neckline to plunge without billowing, i.e., keeping it tight keeps it 'appropriate'. And this dress is definitely mini, i.e., not short, mini.
the one aspect of the contstruction that could be better on both dresses are the zippers. they are both at the point that the dress moves from waist to chest, the fabric is heavier and the zipper stalls, and, that's even when I'm not wearing it.

Took a medium since i looked at the measurement thinking it was true to size unfortunately it was still loose on the bust area.The colour was deeper than as shown on the model.material wise layers of jersey. Return the dress since it did not suit me.For the price,i t feel i can look at other style instead.Not worth the money...
