Poplin, lace, and ponte jersey come together to compose a unique, slinky sheath dress worthy of a city night out. This Lover mini is detailed with a contrast poplin collar, which is a tailored counterpoint to the sheer lace yoke and illusion sweetheart neckline. A hidden zip fastens the back, and sheer lace sleeves effect a sexy finish. Unlined.

Fabric: Ponte jersey / lace.
Shell: 71% polyester/24% viscose/5% spandex.
Trim: 60% cotton/23% rayon/17% nylon.

Designer

In 2001, Australian designers Susien Chong and Nic Briand founded Lover at a weekend market stall. Since then, the creative couple has piloted the line into the international spotlight. By fusing their individual tastes (one for the romantic and ethereal, the other for the loud and irreverent), they created a label with a unique sensibility. This blend of pop culture references, quirky details, and delicate fabrication has earned the line a host of A-list fans, including Kirsten Dunst and Keira Knightley.

I love Lover!

Disclaimer: I am obsessed with everything Lover. This dress is no exception. It's probably one of their more wearable pieces. I usually wear a US 4, but I always size up to a US 6 in Lover, and this fits well. I am 5'10'', and a lot of Lover dresses are way too short on me, but this one is not acceptably short. (The hemline can be lowered by a tailor.) It is gorgeous and I always get a ton of compliments when I wear it. The fabric is thick and flattering. I love it so much I got it in both colors!

Sophisticated and classic

This dress is so beautiful. It's so classic and very French. I got the dress in gray color and love absolutely everything about this dress. If you have wide shoulders I wouldn't recommend it because the lace is delicate and don't stretch that much. The bottom part is very stretchy.
