Description

An expertly tailored blazer from Band of Outsiders gives workwear a feminine touch. Crisp lapels meet at the hook-and-eye placket, and welt pockets sit at the hips. Ruching accents the back, and padded shoulders lift the boxy silhouette. Bracelet sleeves. Striped lining.

Fabric: Soft suiting.
Shell: 70% viscose/30% wool.
Lining: 100% polyester.
Dry clean.
Made in Italy.

Scott Sternberg is the creative force behind Band of Outsiders, a Los Angeles line of reimagined menswear classics with a serious cult following. In 2010 he launched Girl. by Band of Outsiders, a collection speaking to the feminine side of nostalgia with sophisticated draping and Grecian shapes. Girl is about softness, lightness, and simplicity, with fabrics like washed silk georgette with faint, naive floral prints and patchwork crochet.

Meh.
I wanted to love this because I need a black blazer. This is the opposite of love. The 0 fit like a size 6/medium on me. It was so boxy and shapeless. Maybe if you're a tall person and sized way down. On a girl who is petite? It's a pass.

Amazing jacket
This is one of the best jackets hanging in my wardrobe and there are many! Have worn this twice already - day and night and it is so functional. The fabric (wool mix) is heavy enough that the fall of the jacket is perfect and it looks exactly as it does in the pics. Love that the 3/4 sleeves push up for a more casual day look and yet at night with skinny blacks and a 4" heel it really looks edgy. As to be expected from Girl. this jkt is superbly made. It is expensive but worth every cent.
