Description

A babydoll dress with a playful swing feels soft to the slouch in a smooth silk blend. Soft velvet ribbons tie the sides, and the back closes with a hook-and-eye keyhole. Lined bodice. Unlined skirt.

Fabric: Soft weave.
50% silk/50% rayon.
Dry clean.
Made in the USA.

Designer

Inspired by lingerie, late nights, and literature, the Elkin clothing line was created by Los Angeles sisters Brit and Kara Smith. Brit has long had a love affair with lingerie and Kara has long had a habit of staying out late and falling asleep in her clothes. Combining these elements, Elkin was born - a versatile collection of everyday apparel inspired by bedtime fashion. For each piece sold, a children's book is donated through HOPE Campaign, as a tribute to the sisters' lifelong love of reading.

Great silhouette
Unfortunately for those of us with larger chests, it's hard to find items that fit us in the brands we love. This type of silhouette is so flattering and actually FIT my chest. I could have used one more size up, as its a bit tight, but it works. Such a great flowy easy dress. I love this thing! i need more colors.....and if they do make a size 12 in this, don't be scared to buy it shopbop, you have a customer who will purchase it :)

Basic, cute dress for fall!
This dress can be casual or dressed up. It works great for someone with a flatter chest and a bigger bum. I am 5'2 so it comes longer on me (appropriately, but still above the knee) as I thought it looked too short on the model. The "wine" color is absolutely perfect for fall. I cannot wait to wear it! I am 5'2, 120lbs, and a 34B, and the size 2 fit me perfectly, if that helps you at all. My only complaint is that I wish it was made in 100% silk, but the heavier blend is ideal for fall.
