Wrinkled neon leather constructs this utility-chic Alexander Wang handbag, accented with dark, industrial hardware. A box pleat obscures 2 zip pockets at one side, and textured, oversized studs protect the bottom. Detachable, adjustable shoulder strap and rolled double handles. The main zip opens to a lined interior, which houses a zip pocket and 2 patch pockets. Dust bag included.

At 18, fashion wunderkind Alexander Wang moved to NY to attend Parsons School of Design, and by sophomore year he was already designing his label's first collection. Though predominantly pure in aesthetic, the line incorporates elements of street fashion and the imperfect, a look that won Wang the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund Award in 2008.

Heavy!
I got the Rocco in birchwood lambskin, on sale. I didn't expect it to be so heavy, but the thick leather plus the five rows of silver studs give the bag quite some helft, which I foresee will be problematic on days it won't just be resting on an office desk. Also, the leather in birchwood looks a bit dirty, giving it a more rugged than polished look. Reading other reviews only now I'm finding that this bag is a known heavyweight in its class. For several reasons I can't return the item, so I'm just going to learn to love it. And work those shoulders.
