J Brand
I really love these jeans for something a little bit different. The colour is great (although a little lighter than pictured) and the finish of the jeans provides an edgy alternative to the usual denim. I'm usually a 31 in J Brand jeans however after reading the other reviews I went a size up - however I should have stuck with the 31 as they feel as though they are going to stretch.

these were a bit tight at the waist, very very long for me(needed alteration) BUT it really looks like leather though. its all right so I am keeping them.

A few issues
I love my J Brand dark denim leggings and hoped these would be equally adored. They run larger than the standard denim. Also, they are too baggy though the ankle. Otherwise, the wash is very attractive, even close up. If they fit a little better, they would look like leather jeans.

IN LOVE
This is the first item of clothing in a long time that I have instantly fell in love with. I just received them today. I did not expect them to look right on me, since all J Brand jeans are different and sizing can be tricky. I have another pair of waxed jeans by J that i love but they do have some extra bunching. But this FIT IS AMAZING.
I always get a 29 in J Brand, this was no exception. They are worth the price for the color, texture, and fit. I am 140lbs, 5'6, Most of my weight is on my bottom half (bigger legs, normal butt, smaller waist in proportion, and smaller torso). and they are super flattering. I am worried about the coating fading... the wax coating nearly washed off of my other J's even though i followed the instructions. But everything about these pants is so rich that I will keep them and just never wash them (or dry clean).

I really love these jeans. They really look like leather. I'm 27 waist and 37 hips and I chose the 28. It was a good idea. The waist is a little bit roomy but the rest is perfect. The pants are very long. I'm a 5'8 and will have to get shorter. The color is splendid and makes me really sexy! Love it

These jeans are amazing and I get a lot of compliments when I wear them. They fit really well (as all J Brand jeans have in my experience). My only complaint is that I think the coating comes off pretty easily.... I haven't washed my pair yet and I'm not planning on it, because I already feel like the coating comes off from normal wear so I don't think I'm brave enough to wash them

Just buy them already...
I was really skeptical of these jeans, but kept seeing them matched with other tops when browsing Shopbop. Every time I'd look at one of these tops, I'd think to myself "nice shirt, but I LOVE those pants" and every time "those pants" ended up being these coated Jbrands. Then there were all the positive reviews. Then they started popping up everywhere - when I saw them on Blake Lively and Giuliana Rancic, I had to make the purchase. I think the color is slightly lighter than pictured but not much. I've seen these on other sites where they look VERY clay in color (almost putrid). This is not the case - they are a very attractive, rich color. I am usually a 26 in Jbrand and found these TTS for a snug fit. They are definitely unusual and I am so taken with them. As others have said, they are LONG (I'm 5'8") and will need to be hemmed. Also note they are Dry Clean only. Outside texture is weird but inside is normal and comfortable to wear.
