Designer

Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig met early on at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. Georgina began her career as a costume designer while Karen focused on print and embroidery design. When they created Marchesa in 2004, they were already well-versed in the artistry of couture. Named for eccentric socialite Marchesa Luisa Casati, Notte by Marchesa is the duo's moderately-priced second line and features their signature beautiful detailing and expert design.

girly one shoulder dress

Ordered this dress in size 6 but arrived in size 0 by accident. Customer service did make it up for me by issuing me a credit note. However, still not too convinced for this girly dress and too loud about the flower on the shoulder. Returned recently for a classy long maxi.

Fabulous if you look like the model...

I have to keep in mind that everything this model wears looks fabulous on her. I am 5'2 and 107 lbs. I ordered the size 0 and it was way too long for me even with 5 inch heels. The tiers are very voluminous and made me look pregnant. I have to say the fabric and construction is high quality but just not for my petite frame. I sent it back.
