Designer James Perse found his calling in fashion when he designed the perfect baseball cap and sold it in his father's LA boutique. When movie directors wanted the caps for their cast and crew and record labels wanted them for tours, he decided to launch the James Perse collection. Perse next worked on creating the perfect T-shirt, and today is known for an array of luxe jersey essentials including dresses, tanks, and pants with a nod to the casual Southern California lifestyle.

Perfect!
This is one fitted and hot dress!!! I got the grey in 0 and it was perfect (I'm 5'3", 115 lbs, bottom heavy). I was worried that it would be too short but it reached mid-thigh. The only con is that I have to wear seamless undergarments because otherwise they will show under this fabric.

The dress is sexy, confortable and adorable. Had such good feedback that brought another James Perse dress the next day - same color but a boat neck dress. Loved it!

A very comfortable dress to wear so many places. I am very short, so I will add a sharp belt. The dress is rather plain, but all the more fun to accessorize!!

Fitted, Not too thin
James Perse dresses have varying fits, and this one is definitely very fitted, as shown on the model. I wear a size 8/10, and ordered a 4 and it fits perfectly (I can often wear a 3 in this brand). Even in the grey color, it is not too revealing because the fabric is thicker (not see-through), however, expect to wear minimal underwear, as it is smooth and tight across the back. I kept the dress because on sale it was an amazing deal. also great as a tunic over jeans or leggings.

I bought this in a 3 thinking that I could wear it more as a casual dress, the 3 is actually quite large and I had this thought that somehow it ran small? I don't know. Look into the sizing chart! I still love it even a little loose, it's a different look but quality material and construction!

i got the black one while it was on sale. fits great! i got a size 1 and usually wear a US size 2/4.
the material used is really nice and the dress is an excellent wardrobe staple....

Perfect little black dress!! Form fit, but not too tight. It's thin, but that doesn't seem to affect the coverage. :)
