The only downside is that these pants are smaller than my usual J Brand size - 25. As a reviewer said below, it must be the fabric. Still fits very snugly - if I eat, im sure i'll be gaining a slight muffin top. If you like your pants super tight and skinny, order your usual size. If you want tight but comfy i would recommend sizing up. They're not jeans, definitely agree with a reviewer that these are twill pants. They are absolutely gorgeous and just what i expected. The black parts are a satin feel and do a good job of shaping the jeans into something special. Recommended :)

These pants are cool, but the fit was too small for me (ordered the size I would usually order in denim although J Brand is not my usual brand - perhaps the fabric was the problem?). Don't like them enough to order the next size up. Fabric and quality of the pants is really good though.

I thought the inserts were leather but they are actually a shiny satin which isnt as black as I would have liked therefore returned them

Perhaps wrongly, I associate "jeans" with some variation of denim and these are most definitely not denim. They're cotton twill pants. Still, I LOVE the fit and the look. These are incredibly sexy and the black panels (which don't look as black in-person as they do in the still photo) definitely give the impression of leather panels and details. I can't speak for anyone other than myself -- I'm 5'10, 144 lbs (and I wear a size 27-28 in almost all J-Brand styles) -- but the fit on most every J-Brand style is incomparable. Over the last couple of years, I've pretty much stopped buying anything other because I don't think there's a better fitting brand on me. The only reason I gave these four instead of five stars was because I was expecting a true jean, but I'm still loving these regardless of the material. And you can handwash them cold instead of dry cleaning. I love having that option!
