The line was founded 2002, when designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville couldn't find jeans they wanted to wear. After a stint in Kentucky immersing themselves in the art of denim, they launched their line in New York, and have since expanded into womenswear, shoes, and a line of basics, Rag & Bone/JEAN.

the black is more chocolate than black
I'm a platform lover, and have tons of boots/shoes/sandals from rag and bone. These guys -- which seem to be exclusive to shopbop (sweet pick guys) -- are the most comfortable and supportive off-the-shelf platforms in my closet. As supportive as they are, could be easier to walk in. Not a fan of this particular footbed-frame (whatever, I'm not a cobbler) R&B has been using lately.
