Lovely fit, casual & comfy
This splendid dress is a great staple and great for everyday wear and for layering. I love the grey color and will probably get it in more than one color. The only thing is I wish the dress were slightly longer, because I know it will shrink up slightly and the length is perfect before washing. My girlfriends asked me where I found this dress because they want one too. Nice basic.

I wear it separately, with a belt at the waist with a belt on the thighs, with the top down, with the shirt up. Convenient for trips - comfortable, not wrinkle, perfectly combined.

Great Maxi
I too am very happy with this purchase. Ordered a SZ M (I'm an Aust sz 10) and it fit well through the top with a little bit of extra through the waist/hips. I am 157cm and do need to have it hemmed as it is quite long on me. It is not at all clingy. I have washed it and it did not shrink which is great! The fabric is soft and comfy. Love it!

Good basic, but runs large.
I ordered this dress in black, and while it's what you'd expect from a basic Splendid dress, I sent it back. First, I think it runs large. I'm 5'2", 105 lbs with some curves and I ordered the XS. I expected I'd need to get it hemmed, but I would have had to cut about a FOOT off the bottom, and even then, there was a ton of excess fabric from the waistline down. It's cut well up top but I was worried that it would look strange even with alterations. If you're tall, it would work great! Second, while it's a good basic, I think you can find something similar/better for cheaper, or at least wait until it goes on sale. If you're very tall or need it now, go ahead and order; otherwise, wait or look elsewhere!

Yikes...very tight...definitely not for my body shape. You need to be tall and very slender to pull this dress off. The material is also thinner than I would like. Needless to say, I don't want to show off my worst feature...my mid section. It's is going back.

Just get the $66 ribbed maxi by Splendid instead. This dress is too sheer and thin. I know this fabric from Splendid and it's not going to last very long. Not worth the $100
