Love it
I had been looking for a simple, lightweight leather bag w/o a lot of hardware/tassels/extras, without a logo on it, that had shorter handles as well as a crossbody strap and this fit the bill!
I read many reviews - on this site and others - before I purchased, so I had some idea of what to expect. The longer strap is not adjustable but still is an ok length for me. (I'm 5'2" and the bag comes falls below mid thigh/above knee when I carry it on my shoulder with the long strap.) I might get the strap shortened a few inches, but I haven't decided it it's worth doing. The bag has no structure, but I use a purse insert to give it a little structure and also to make it easier to find my stuff.
I purchased the black one and luckily I haven't had any problems with the dye coming off on me or my clothes. However, I do get little bits of suede that come off in the interior. It seems to be lessening over time (I've had it for about a month). It's minor annoyance but I still love the bag.

great, basic bag
Great size for when I need to carry more things, but not gigantic or heavy. Leather is beautiful and soft. Hardware has a nice weight to it and feels very luxurious. The included leather pouch is a nice touch to keep essentials in, and since you can clip it to the side of the bag you can access it easily.
Only complaint is that the strap isn't adjustable, as I would like it to be a little bit longer at times. Otherwise perfect.

The dye comes off on everything
I really wanted to love this, and from the picture I thought it would be just what I was looking for. But the craftsmanship is very poor, there is no lining so it has no structure, and collapses into a suede puddle. It doesn't look like the picture at all. The biggest problem though is that the black dye comes off on EVERYTHING. My hands, wallet, cell phone, iPad, clothes I was wearing, coat I was wearing (had to have it cleaned), everything. Unless you like having to wash your hands every time you get your cell phone out, don't get it. I would return it if I could.

NOT STRUCTURED AS PICTURED!!!
I have to say first that I really do like this bag but don't expect what they're showing in the picture. The bag is not at all structured. Very flimsy with no shape unless you absolutely STUFF it.
Very nice quality suede, I have the Navy one and its the perfect fall/winter bag!! I use it for everything!! Great bag, lots of room, Just DONT expect much in terms of structure. It pretty much collapses into a heap when you're not holding it.
Strap is also wayyyy too long. I'm 5'3" and the strap literally leaves the bag hanging at the back of my knee.

The bag is too soft
I was a bit disappointed with this bag as its too soft. If you only put one or two things in there. It looks very weird.

Bummed out
I bought this one in red. Within a week my jeans rubbed against it and it dyed the bag. I contacted a leather repair place. They wouldn't touch it. Said the leather is too soft and too porous to clean. I tried contacting the Manufacturer here in LA, they wouldn't respond as to where I should take the bag to get cleaned or dyed. $363 down the can....black would be a good option...but because Claire Vivier's people wouldn't respond, I wouldn't spend another dime on her cheap leather remnants...

First of all, think maker should find a way to eliminate the awful smell of the leather. Then, the strap should be made adjustable as it is way too long for petite user, plus the strap will become longer after some time as it is not lined or padded.

Great Looking, just the right size!
The shape of this bag is just right, and it hovers somewhere between casual and more dressy. I really like it and am planning to use it as a work tote for a trip I'll be taking in July. Really nice quality leather. The zipper is a little funky. A shame it isn't lined, but as a fashionably functional object, it is really a pleasure!

Great, for the most part
I adore this bag- it is simple yet elegant, surprisingly roomy, and the attached strap and mini purse are great assets that increase its potential usage. However, the quality of the suede is poor and the bag is not durable; I tend to be fairly rough on my bags and just throw things haphazardly in them, and my things frequently come out with little black pieces of suede on them, which is extremely irritating. For example, I can no longer hold books in it, for this reason. Overall great bag, but its durability is questionable.
