high rise worked for me
I tried the Carlton and the Mandy styles by Citizens. I was looking for ankle length jean for spring. Despite the rise length given in the description, the Mandy had a higher rise without question by about 1-2cm or so. For my figure, the Mandy just looked/fit better. I am on the short side- about 5'3" on a good day. The wash of the Carlton was distressed and "younger" looking with the whiskering. Also, Carlton has shorter inseam. Mandy inseam is longer and needs to be rolled-up. Both are very cute...
