Designer

Raised in Aspen, Colorado, Lindsey Thornburg attended design School in Los Angeles, where she began her first dress collection, Fabric. Lindsey moved to New York, and in 2006, after returning from a trip to Peru's Machu Picchu, she launched a collection of cloaks, drawing inspiration from the indigenous Peruvian people she encountered. In fall 2010, Lindsey expanded her collection to a full range of ready-to-wear, and each season she adds new pieces, continually growing the Lindsey Thornburg collection.

I had been eying this top for quite a while and finally bit the bullet. It is a beautiful top, but I do have some issues. First off, as the designer's personal website also states, each top is handmade. This is good and bad. Good because it makes it special. Bad because it means there is some room for variation. The front slits on my blouse were significantly smaller than the one shown on the model. Additionally, this top is SMALL. I typically, wear a size 0-2. Ended up getting the size 4 because the size 2 was sold out, and I am so glad it got the 4. Even the 6 would fit probably fit me. The neck is a little snug, but the torso fits. The crop in the front is also pretty short. Just need to get some super high-waisted pants now!
