My hair is shoulder length. The clips holds half of my hair. If you have tick hair it may not hold much. It does not slide which sometimes happens with some clips. Your hair does not get stuck in the clip which is also another good thing.

Cute but....
These are exactly as I pictured them in the photos but the color fades, oxidizes and gets muddled. Also I had to bend them a little to fit the curve of my head.

unfortunately, i had to send these back because they just didn't look right. regardless of how much hair i put in the clip, it would sag and not catch all the way across.

Unique but tarnishes easily
Got lots of compliments but the barette had rust spots and a lot of water marks after about a month of use.

I dont know how to rate this but it is just fun! Got it for my 17 year old daughter as she loves doing her hair. She thinks its funny but likes it.

color is weird
i like these clips ok, but this gold is really yellow-y and ugly. it would've been better if it was a more subtle gold. also the, the bigger end of the clip doesn't hold much, and juts out from my head.
only get these if you have a lot of hair/thick hair...it will be too heavy in the heads of people with thin hair.
