These are lovely clips (though I have thick wavy hair and they still slip). The problem is they tarnish. After a week of wear they look awful, how dirty brass does. And also, the gold rubs off to reveal the silver metal.
When light glances off it the clips, you can actually see fingerprints and the turning/rubbing.
If you want to wear them once or twice for an occasion, I recommend them because they're pretty cheap. But don't count on them sticking around long enough to be a favorite accessory.

Don't bother - too flimsy to hold anything in place. Also gets hair caught and then pulls it out!

True to the picture. Holds fairly well on my super thick hair. I prefer to use it to pull my hair into a ponytail.
