I bought this for the silliness. It does slip out easily, I recommend using it as an ornament rather than to anchor hair. It would work best in textured hair. This works well as an accent in an updo. Makes me smile every time I use it.

This hairpin a bit odd to me. I have thick and long hair and I can not keep them all to her entirely. My hair fell out barrettes. And I have very blond hair, she looks good on brunettes. But I have found to whom to give them, the girls love it!

What was I thinking
Always wanted these, finally bought and returned them immediately. Gold coloring was already peeling slightly off the bottom of one, and they generally felt cheap and as if they would stretch after a couple of uses. I have medium thickness hair, but a lot of it, and I knew these wouldn't be able to hold it very long even if I was generous with product.

Just not right...
Yes, these are very lerge as pictured, but I could never achieve a look with them without tome part of them sticking out somewhere. And after about a week, they began to tarnish and look terrible. I threw them away.

Okay, people. The description includes the length of these and you can see how they take up half the model's head, so... there really shouldn't be any surprises when you get them in the mail. That said, these are HUGE! They're really for making a statement and not much else. My hair is thick so I don't have any problem with them staying in place but I don't expect them to do that.
