This is a great dress. Very flattering. It is a tight fit, but it is made that way, so I would say it is true to size. I thought the arm pits were a bit big from the photo, but actually it is fine. Very flattering for small busts and you don't need to wear a bra. I wore it to a wedding and also to work (though it is a bit tight to be tres comfortable) and it worked well in both occasions.

Fabulous dress!
Super excited I jumped on buying this piece! It's stunning! I bought my normal dress size 6 and it fit really well. I'm smaller in the chest area and hippy and filled in the dress nicely. It's definitely a snug fit which is exactly what I wanted. It could work for the 9-5 with a jacket, though the slit in the back may be a little too high for certain professional settings. Perfect for a date night out or a special occasion. Love the neckline and fabrication too!

Elegant dress
Another great purchase from this site!! After reading the reviews (which were a mix of this dress is smaller/larger than expected), I ordered a size 2 for my 5'9" 130lbs frame. The dress was a bit loose in the waist and hips, however, it still looked lovely. The length was good. I wore it to a funeral, but anticipate wearing it at other more conservative functions. I received tons of compliments

WOW, AMAZING - Perfect Little Black Dress! Truly fits like it was made for me - with the exception of length. I was very skeptical to order this dress in the wrong size since all of the reviews were very mixed. I went with my gut and purchased my normal dress size which is a 2 or XS. I have a 32D bust, and this was not tight at all - it zipped up perfectly, and I had no help whatsoever. The bra I tried the dress on was also not padded in anyway, I am not sure if this will make a difference when trying it on with padding. The fabric does have some slight stretch, so I think this also helped. I do not have big hips - I would have to say that are proportional to my bust size - I have a curvy figure, but not too curvy.
I am 5" so, I will need to take this up in length, I already knew that I would need to do this, so this was not news to me. EXTREMELY SATISFIED, can't wait to purchase more in different colors!

Too long-waisted
I am 6 ft tall, wear a 6 in skirts/pants and an 8 on top. I am very short-waisted. I ordered the 8, which I could not zip up over the bust, so I exchanged for a 10 and was going to get the waist and hips tailored. When I tried on the 10, there was a lot of fabric on top, but I still couldn't zip it over the bust and it fit me horribly. I realized it wasn't so much a bust issue, but a proportion issue. Beautiful dress, but I have to return it. In order to have it fit in any way, I would have to get it completely remade.

Wow - this dress is amazing! I ordered it late Friday night, received it on Monday and wore it to work on Tuesday. Fits amazing - so flattering. I'm between a 2 and 4 and got the 2 - it's a bit snug but completely fine. I'm 5'8" and found the length is maybe a tad too long for me - a bit too dramatic with the long slit in the back.... I may get it hemmed one day. One downside is the belt - a bit cheap looking - I doubt it's leather which is disappointing for a +$300 dress. 5 stars nonetheless. I got a gazzillion compliments and you will too!! SHOPBOP - please get a bigger Black Halo range!!!

Stunning!
The Jackie O dress is a classic! It has been around for years and is extremely flattering. The cut of the dress would fit best on someone with an hourglass frame, but could look good on other body types as well. The fabric and construction are great. It is TTS compared to other brands and runs a little bigger than the Jackie O Mini dress.
