Disappointed with color, painful
These boots look much darker in person than they looked on my computer screen, and seemed more of a brown than taupe. I expect taupe to have more gray in it (and on my screen they did seem like they were brownish gray), but these boots just looked brown. They were also strangely immediately painful around the ankle when I tried them on - I don't think I've ever experienced anything like that with any boot. My feet themselves were comfortable, but they bizarrely hurt my ankles. I have slender calves and ankles, so I'm not sure what the problem was. I knew they weren't going to work, so I had to send them back.
