An exquisite silhouette and curved, sculpted heel give these knee-high glazed leather Maison Martin Margiela boots endless appeal. A vertical slim leather band travels from the top line to the bottom of the heel, and an exposed zip fastens the inner side. Covered heel and leather sole.

Founded by the unconventional Martin Margiela, Maison Martin Margiela is a pioneering label in deconstructionist design. Working in completely white studios, where even the light fixtures were draped in white fabric, Margiela revolted against conventional fashion with over-long sleeves and exposed seams and linings and famously redesigned unusual objects like wigs and silk scarves into couture garments. Though currently led by a new design team, Maison Martin Margiela stays true to its avant-garde roots.

Really stylish boots
These boots are gorgeous even more in person than on the picture!
The shoe size is true to size. The shaft is a bit narrow for me since I have big calves so I had to buy a 1/2 size bigger, and also take them to a shoe cobbler to additionally stretch the shaft.
I happen to like the leather that is slightly stiff on these boots, it gives it a very stylish look.
The workmanship is excellent, and so is the design. I have gotten many compliments for them. Finally, they are very comfortable!

Beautiful, but strange
I finally decided to splurge on these insanely expensive boots because they are just gorgeous. I was disappointed at how incredibly stiff the leather was... Once on, i couldnt even move my ankles. It felt like i had casts on both legs.. Kind of crazy. Perhaps this is what $1195 boots are supposed to feel like, but if thats the case, then they are not for me.
