comfortable - not for small calves
Indeed, very comfortable boots, soft, not heavy, agree that run too large around the leg at the bottom. I've bought 0.5 size up my actual size as in cold weather you need to have some space not to get cold. Whatever the size, your foot looks very small in it.

DVF Harley Wedge Boot
This boot is very comfortable. I've worn it walking around in NYC and it never felt uncomfortable. It is sleek and does not appear bulky. The only negative is that the zipper is a little stiff and doesn't zip up or down easily. Other than that, this is the perfect urban cold weather boot.

Comfortable but not for smaller calves
I purchased these boots in dove and really wanted to like them as they would have been prefect for walking in cold weather. They're very confortable however I found them to be too large around the leg (a constant problem for me and tall boots) which made the fabric slouch oddly and I ended up returning them.
