True size, fit me perfectly. I wear 39, I bought 9 size, perfect. I'm glad I didnt sized down, as I was expecting to be needed after reading other reviews.

These fit great and are the perfect shade of chocolate brown. The length of these was perfect, but because my feet are narrow I was sloshing around a bit width-wise. For comfort, I added in Dr. Scholl's insoles and still didn't need to size up, that fixed the issue. I like the idea of wearing these with skinny jeans before its too warm out - it sort of balances out the skinny-jean silhouette.

Funky, practical & goes with everything
Had been looking at a black pair in size 7 for a while and got them when they became available again - great purchase, you won't regret it. I have wide feet and sizing was true to size- am usually size 6.5 but like my boots a little larger for comfort. Getting quite a few compliments when I wear them out. Looks fantastic with a mini or shorts but also with short feminine silk dress - the boots toughen up the overall look. Seen negative comments on the 'fall' of the leather aroudn the leg but I think it looks better like that with the leather especially on the back half of the boot folding down, makes it look cool in my opinion.

Adorable but not worth $200!
These are boots are adorable but not very comfy and definitely not worth $200. They pinch the top of my foot when I put them on, no cushion inside and then the heel was part scratchy and part smooth.... cheap manufacturing! The only reason I didnt return them is I havent found any other boots in this price range that come close to how cute these are.

SUPER COOL!
These are one of the coolest pair of boots I own! They can be worn with a pair of jeans, a casual dress, or even a pair of cut-off denim shorts. Very versatile! I definitely recommend these boots!!! Sexy!

Not as good as first run
I bought the original France Wrap boots in a size 6 a couple years ago from a boutique and about a month ago I was taking the boots off and the heel and foundation of the boot broke - waaaaah! These were my trademark boots and I wear them year round - they are my favorite pair of boots, so it was no question that I would need to replace them.
I was delighted to see that they were back in stock at shopbop. I ordered a size 6, but quickly realized that they changed the sizing of the boot from the original run. I ordered a 6.5, which is my true size, and they fit perfectly. I like the replacement boots, but I agree with some of the other reviewers in that it makes absolutely no sense to have the shoe size and "France" imprinted on the inside of the boot because when you flip it down it looks ridic. I'll have to find a way to scratch off the gold lettering so I can wear them flipped down in the front - not ideal. In another couple of months they will be perfectly broken in!

For those 7.5-8 - DON'T size up!!
I'm usually a 7.5-8 (mostly 8 for winter boots) so, based on reviews, I bought these in an 8. TERRIBLE idea. These might've been more comfortable in the 7.5, but in the 8 my feet keep slipping to the front of the shoe (and I bought, like, every conceivable insert there is trying to make these work - nope). I have wide feet but a high arch, and somehow the arch on these hits exactly the wrong spot, yet when I attempt to add any arch inserts (no matter how slim) it just bumps the top of my foot uncomfortably against the stiff leather. They're JUST about bearable for an evening out if I wear super-thick socks and stuff them full of inserts, and carry flats in my bag just in case. Aargh! I would have just returned them, but it's a hassle returning internationally and they looked *just* barely cute enough to keep and try to make work. Unfortunately, they're just so painful that I find myself not reaching for them. Also: brown leather looks matte and cheap. DEF sticking w/ Fryes in future.
