Description

Handmade in Cambodia within a non-profit skills training project, Mettle jewelry is hypoallergenic and made from recycled bombshell metal.

Set of two matching silver cuff bracelets. Lobster-claw clasp and fringe detail at chain. Adjustable length. Can also be worn as ankle cuffs.

Designer

Australian designer Brianna Hallihan cut her teeth in London and Paris before finding her current design calling. Inspired by time spent volunteering at a women's sewing co-op in Cambodia, Hallihan created Mettle, a line of responsible (and beautiful) jewelry made from recycled bombshell metal used by the Khmer Rouge. Each piece is handmade, fair trade, and hypoallergenic, and the line is entirely produced in Cambodia within a non-profit skills training project.

Great as ankle cuffs
I am a bit disappointed about these. I ordered them in gold and the quality is lovely, but they are far too big to be bracelet-style cuffs. Even though they are adjustable, the metal arch cannot be squeezed to make it smaller. I can wear them on my upper arm or my ankles and they look fine, but I really wanted them to be traditional cuffs. Not sure whether I will keep them. xoxox, CC
