Classic Boot, Vintage Inspired
Jeffrey Campbell did some good work on these, and I'm fairly impressed given the quality of some of the more recent JC items. These are a pretty great Classic everyday boot in a deep dark green. The color is neutral, but different enough to add a pop to a boring outfit. The distressing is pretty good, but I think it'll look more authentic with a little wear. I usually wear a big 7.5 or narrow 8, bought these in an 8 to wear with thick socks. There's plenty of room in the width, but the length is perfect. I haven't worn them out yet and I'm not sure how comfortable they are though. The boot itself is still, so here's hoping!

Love that color!
The beautiful green sold me on these boots. And dark green is a neutral, right? A sturdy heel under 3" is wear all day stuff for me, so I expect to wear these boots with cropped pants and longer styles too. I always wear a size 8, and the 8 fit fine. If the boots get roomier from wearing, I'll just put on a slightly thicker sock. The distressing is well done - it doesn't make the boots look old and worn, just kinda rough. Getting the boots on and off doesn't involve a struggle;the elastic gusset in the side stretches. In a perfect world, I would have liked a more graceful, pointier toe, but the good news is if you're self-conscious about your big feet, these make your feet look small.
