Beautiful Dress, but How to Clean?

This dress is gorgeous -- because it mentioned leather, I was initially worried it was going to be heavy around the waist and collar, but the leather is very light. Cleaning issue: I took it to alteration because I am smaller than a size 0, and the dry cleaner mentioned that the black on the leather might bleed onto the white during cleaning, so we will have to remove it to clean. This will cost a fortune, if I am having the tailor remove the leather every single time I clean it. I am hoping I can hand wash it if there is any stain (just on the stain, not the whole thing), OR possibly having the tailor add snaps to the belt and the collar so it can be removed every time I dry clean it. If shopbop or boy by band of outsiders has any other good idea of cleaning this dress, it would be good to know since it is a white dress and I am certain it will get dirty at some point in the future.

Love this Dress, Fits perfectly, flattering on and exceptional quality. only downfall from this site was the price... I ended up purchasing exact same dress from net-a-porter as it was $410 AUD inc.shipping.
