Elkin Espar Jacket

Description

Long sleeves in metallic tweed contrast a leather bodice, giving the cropped moto jacket a cool, modern twist. The off-center zip closure extends to the notched collar, and zip pockets sit at the hips. Raised seams and snap-tab epaulets add the finishing touches. Lined.

Fabric: Soft leather / metallic tweed.
100% lambskin.
Leather clean.
Made in the USA.

Designer

Inspired by lingerie, late nights, and literature, the Elkin clothing line was created by Los Angeles sisters Brit and Kara Smith. Brit has long had a love affair with lingerie and Kara has long had a habit of staying out late and falling asleep in her clothes. Combining these elements, Elkin was born - a versatile collection of everyday apparel inspired by bedtime fashion. For each piece sold, a children's book is donated through HOPE Campaign, as a tribute to the sisters' lifelong love of reading.

Wanted to Love
I ordered this jacket because I saw one of the designers wearing it in an editorial about them. I LOVE the look- I've been wanted a leather mixed media jacket. Sadly, it just didn't do it for me. I have broader shoulders though and mixed media just draws attention to that, so maybe thats why. ? I don't think it would've been worth the full price. However, on sale, its a great buy.
