Buy this, but size down
I'm 5'8 and a size 2-4. This dress does run large. I purchased a small, which I don't know why I did, because I am aware that most of free people's products run large. I plan to exchange this for an xsmall. This colors of this dress are like a filled jewlery box. It's full of gold, emeralds, ruby, and saphire tones that the photo just does not exhibit well. The material is also a very fine short piled velvet, which I love, because it's not bulky, like drapes. During the chilly winter months I plan to wear this with matte tights and victorian style boots. A nice military style wool coat would be a great topper. This will matriculate very well into spring and summer months too.

Gorgeous fabric, nice details
The fabric is luxurious and rich. The tab and button detail in the back is nice. It's quality construction. I wish it were a little longer, but I wore it with black opaque tights and it was fine. I read previous reviews and I sized to XS and the armholes were fine. I'm 5'3", 117 lbs., 34A for reference.

Excellent Fabric, Poor Fit
This is gorgeous fabric executed very poorly. I wear a 0-2 and the XS just hung there, so boxy. The arm holes and neck are cut super low too. Very disappointed because this would have been lovely. If you are larger it might look good belted with a tee under, but if you are a 0 there is no where to go with this.
