Born somewhere between a farm and a forest in Pennsylvania, Katie Gallagher hated to wear clothes as a child, but would wear her cat Thomas on her head. Hatched from such a fairy tale, Gallagher grew up, graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, and started her own label. Her well-edited work focuses on unconventional patternmaking and reflects the visceral, communicative side of fashion.
