Love it!
I love everything about this sweater and love how A.L.C. uses a lot of pure whites in their clothing. The open weave allows you to wear this on a day that is a little warmer and for cooler days you can layer with a tank. And I LOVE how A.L.C. makes their sleeves a little longer, which is great if you have long arms.

Too heavy. Too unflattering.
The weight of this yarn is so heavy I felt like I was wearing chain mail rather than a sweater. The collar is also way too chunky, somehow managing to make it feel even heavier. I'm pretty tall and thin and it didn't look nearly as good as on the model. Def not liking it and I'm a big A.L.C. fan so I was surprised.

Collar Conflict
I've been searching for a great white sweater all summer, so I popped this one into my SB cart when it went on sale. The sweater is pretty in person. A little boxy, but falls very nicely. Even though it's a really open stitch, it is well-made. But I didn't like the contrast between the open stitch of the sweater and the thicker collar. The collar really stands out from the rest of the sweater. I didn't like the way it looked on me.

What I was expecting!
This is a very sexy and fabulous sweater. I bought it for a beach trip this summer and it (and I) received a lot of compliments. It feels a little heavier than expected however the quality of the fiber is superb which can explain why it is a little heavier than what I thought it will be. I recommend to use it with shorts for an effortless sexy look.

Beautiful stitch
The stitch of this sweater has to be one of the best I have ever seen in a knit this style! I love how the sleeves are long, but the sweater hugs the body in all the right places! So easy and relaxed, but form fitting and sexy at the same time. Total beach throw over with some cut offs, but the fabric of this sweater would also make it suitable for a dressier look! I am an loyal collector of A.L.C now!!!

A Great Summer White Sweater
Just like the Parker dress I reviewed, I tried this same style sweater on at a boutique before buying it here. I ordered a Large which was about 1.5" longer than the Medium. The sleeve length was the same on both sizes. I like sweaters to fit more loosely so I almost always buy the large. This sweater is loose knit, well-fitted, and looks amazing with white shorts and simple sandals. This sweater couldn't get any more "beach bonfire!" ALC is very pricey, but the quality can't be beat and I'm actually surprised that this is under $300. Get it before it's gone!
