They are not kidding when they call these "Vintage" wide legs. They are a very nice quality fabric and over-all I think a nice pair of jeans. However, the combination of the high rise with the zipper not starting low enough in the rise, I felt like they looked a little more like "mom jeans" than I was comfortable with. I am short (only 5'0") so I think it they may be more flattering on a taller person.

I'd nearly given up on finding jeans that I like, that fit me, and somehow, magically, provide that 'I look as great as I did in high school' feeling. I did that is, until these came in the mail with another, similar pair (Marrakech). They're perfect. I am 5'3, and about 120 - 125 pounds so I bought the size 6. I don't have the slimmest thighs and these jeans skim gracefully over them making me look and feel great because the fit is close, snug, but not tight due to the good quality denim and expert cut. Since I am on the far side of 45, I don't want to appear to be vainly attempting to claw back my youth (er, mutton dressed as lamb, as my mom would say); I just want to look great as I am. And these did it. Because I am shorter than the model, they are about an inch higher in the rise, which I actually prefer at my stage in life. They look terrific with a white cotton James Perse shirt tucked in or hanging loose. My sole criticism is that they were about 8 inches too long.
