Designer
Toronto native Kaelen Farncombe discovered her love of design at a young age while growing up watching her mother get dressed for social events. After completing her studies in English literature, Kaelen enrolled at Parsons School of Design in NYC, and held positions at Jenni Kayne and Stella McCartney. In early 2010, she launched her namesake brand, Kaelen clothing, a collection of sophisticated, classic, and clean styles with the ease of someone who appreciates individuality.

Overpriced and already Fraying!
When I saw this, I thought it would be the perfect wedding dress. I still think it looks amazing, but was so disappointed when I received it. First, Shopbop packed and shipped in a small, flimsy brown box. When I opened the dented box, the dress was balled-up on a hanger. (Come on...you're selling a wedding dress for someone's special day, couldn't you have used packaging to make it feel a bit more special?) Anyway, I was excited to see the dress. When I final got to hold and see the dress for the first time, I was in utter disbelief. The were no hemlines and the dress was already fraying on the ends. What?!?! A $1200 dress and it's fraying on the ends!?! Needless to say, I packed it right up and sent it back to Shopbop. So disappointed in the quality + the price of a dress designed by a relatively unknown designer...sigh!!!!
