Painful
These commandos really go up my bottom and hurts. I guess regular thongs sit lower so they dont pull in that area. But since these sit at your waist, they continue to pull up in the rear and are very uncomfortable.

So comfortable
I simply love these as a much more comfortable alternative to spanx, and they can almost be daily wear under office dresses. They smooth out the lumps perfectly without suffocating me. If you need them to slim you, they won't do it, but if you need to smooth out the subtle muffin top, it's perfect!

Ok so I've never worn a control top so I have nothing to compare these to. I thought they were great and did the trick. They were so comfortable I kept forgetting I was wearing them.

Perfectly smooth, with no lines.
I purchased this to wear under my wedding dress, which is silk charmeuse, so it shows every line and lump. I was afraid I'd have visible panty lines with this under my dress, but Commando did not let me down. It's invisible and gives my tummy a smooth look. (I'm 5'6, 118 lbs and ordered a small.) Be advised that this is not Spanx-like; it will not seriously suck you in. If you're looking for strong control, look elsewhere. If you are just looking for something to help create a smoother look under a tight dress, this is a great choice.
