At 18, fashion wunderkind Alexander Wang moved to NY to attend Parsons School of Design, and by sophomore year he was already designing his label's first collection. Though predominantly pure in aesthetic, the line incorporates elements of street fashion and the imperfect, a look that won Wang the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund Award in 2008.

Too short, not flattering
I loved the look of this dress right out of the box and the material. However, once I put it on I realized it was terribly short in the front especially. You would not be able to sit down without worry. Also, I have hips and a butt and it made that area look huge. It might be more flattering for a boyish shape and petite woman. I returned it.

Hugs Your Body... Killer Dress!
I purchased this dress after seeing it in a recent Shopbop Lookbook and also purchased the loose-knit overlay it was styled with. I LOVE the look and on its own, the dress is just as sexy and stylish. It's extremely flattering and the texture and patterrn of the fabric works with your body, not against it like most body-con dresses. I'm not normally a fan of this designer (the "T" line features some of the poorest quality, worst-wearing fabrics I've ever owned), but if this dress is any indication, the quality and sustainability of the material seems superb among the designer's original line. I'm wearing this dress to an engagement luncheon this weekend and as I was trying it with different shoes today, it looked so pretty with sky-high heels, simple flat sandals, and surprise... even boots. The hemline is on the short side; but even at 5'10, I don't find it excessively short. This is just one of those great finds that looks much better in-person than in the photo

lovely dress, but.....
This dress is well constructed and beautiful. But its extreamly short. So i had to return it.

The knit is forgiving
The picture doesn't do justice to this. If you click on the closeup of the material it is exactly as pictured, it's cotton like knit so it has quite a bit of give, but I think that is needed for the band on the skirt hem in the front. I honestly am not sure about this dress. I can say when you stand straight and don't have your hips thrust out in front of you like the model does in all the pics, it truly doesn't look as strange. I bought the same type of high low style dress from the winter line and I love it. It's an interesting dress and I'm keeping it, I think it will grow on me.
