Well, it's officially fall: the season for sweaters,
football, and school days. Or, thankfully, only
memories of it in many of our cases. For our
main feature this month, we really did go back
to school. It definitely brought me back: the
smell of the locker room, the echoey sound of
the gymnasium, freezing bleachers. (Our model
Lindsey took one for the team—it was cold!)
We wanted to bring you fresh, forward looks
inspired by these classic American memories
with a mature yet playful and sometimes ironic
sensibility. (Is our girl the rebel beating the "in
crowd" at their own game?)

Along with sport influences, fur was another big
presence on the fall runways. We don't carry
real fur at Shopbop. (This season we designed
a Bop Basics Faux Fur Cowl inspired by one of
our favorite runway looks.) In our opinion, faux

is better than the real thing, and we
show you how to find the style that
fits you in our feature. Neutrals are
another story we've had our eye on
for awhile, as items once deemed
trendy—metallics, nudes—have
become solid, seasonless staples
for every wardrobe. Check out the

It may be getting colder, but we have
so much fashion to keep us warm
this winter! Get ready for the launch
of our winter trends. We just wrapped
the shoot and I can't wait for you
guys to see it. These stories are
always so fun for us to tell, and I
hope they're just as much fun for you
