Designer
While horseback riding in Spain, London designer Penelope Chilvers wore a pair of traditional Spanish riding boots and recognized their potential to be worn as a fashion boot. Artisan-crafted equestrian boots are now the root of her collection, which also includes beautifully intricate handbags, sandals, clogs, and espadrilles. "It's about going with the grain and not against it," Chilvers says. "When it comes to the leather, I like to enhance its natural texture and imperfections."
