Designer James Perse found his calling in fashion when he designed the perfect baseball cap and sold it in his father's LA boutique. When movie directors wanted the caps for their cast and crew and record labels wanted them for tours, he decided to launch the James Perse collection. Perse next worked on creating the perfect T-shirt, and today is known for an array of luxe jersey essentials including dresses, tanks, and pants with a nod to the casual Southern California lifestyle.

I love this dress
this is a very simple dress and you can wear it both day and night. the upper part is a little bit large but it is not bad. the dress is very adaptable to the body so I think that a smaller size would be fine too. I love this dress

versatile
I like that it's not tight all over, I think the looser top and fitted bottom is perfect, and the length is good to wear to the office. It's sexy but not over the top. I spilled coffee on it and immediately threw it in the wash and it came out beautifully. Love it!

This dress is a great value and can be dressed up or down. I wore it with heels and a blazer to work and with sandals to a casual dinner. The color is versatile for any skin color, I am on the pale side most of the time, but also looks great with a tan. This dress looks good all over, but works best on the butt, well done James Perse.

Love everything about this dress. It's super cut and hugs you in all the right places. I'm a bit big on top so it was fine in regards to being lose as others have said. I would love to get it in the other color but the 0 was sold out...

good fit, little long if you are short
This fit me great except for the length. The top part is great for me and I can fill it out fine but if it were any bigger there that would be a deal breaker. The waist and hip are snug and I lack curves in that area so this fit great there too. No need for a layer, low cut v-neck is very flattering on me. The only thing is I am very short so I would prefer it to be shorter. This dress is not so easily altered if you want to maintain the look of the hem, you can't rehem it without taking the whole thing apart, or i guess you could leave a stitched hem if you want, so I just wear it the way it is. I ordered the 0 and it fit great on me, I am 34c, 25, 34, 95 lbs

Great value, versatile
Great value on a versatile dress. The top fits just fine and the dress is very formfitting, so it helps to be confident! I am size 2 in James Perse, 140 lb 5'8", 34B. Very flattering, and you don't really need Spanx.
